Giorgos Bartzokas was asked at the EuroLeague Final Four 2025 press conference about how important it is for Olympiacos to win the trophy this season, and also who Spanoulis prefers as an opponent, the coach or the player?
Bartzokas' statements:
"It's obviously important to participate in such an event, to be here four times in a row is amazing but not enough.
Taking the trophy is the goal for us, hopefully we will have more luck this year."
On whether it is more difficult to play against the coach or the player Spanoulis: "It's an attractive topic for journalists, but Olympiacos plays against Monaco, big clubs. You can't separate them. Spanoulis and I were together in '13 when we won the trophy. If you ask me, it's more difficult to have him as an opponent as a player. He already has 3 trophies as a player."
